With less than 123 days until we open, both myself and Sharon Smith our Chair of Governors
were thrilled to see the progress that has been made and thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit. It’s
all very exciting!
Staffing News
I am delighted to inform you that after a very rigorous process, we have appointed an Assistant
Principal for Pineham Barns Primary School for September. Our new Assistant Principal is
currently making their own school community aware that they will be leaving, but is looking
forward to meeting the children and families of our school shortly.
The person we have appointed is an outstanding teacher and has considerable experience leading
teams and working closely with families. I have no doubt that as the teacher for our Year One
and Two class, the children will have a wonderful start to their time at Pineham Barns Primary
School. Furthermore, as our Assistant Principal, the successful candidate will also be working
alongside myself to lead the team to ensure that every child’s learning fulfils the school’s vision
of ‘Fun, Creativity & Achievement’ enabling every child to have an outstanding start at our
school.
Finally, we have had lots of interest in our Reception Class teacher post and hope to have an
update for families in the coming weeks.

Wrap Round Care – Early Bird offer!
Due to the overwhelming responses we have received, we are delighted to inform families that
we will be offering Breakfast and After School Club for the children from the first day in
September.
Families that have already signed up to the provision and have booked their dates, have secured
their places and the Early Bird offer of £3.50 for Breakfast Club and £8.50 for After School Club
for the first year.
If you haven’t already booked your child into our provision but would like to take advantage of
the Early Bird offer, please send the booking form into Mrs Claire Clayson
[email protected] by Tuesday 23rd May. Please be aware that places are limited and
any booking forms sent after this date will miss out on this discounted offer and will be charged
at £4 for Breakfast Club and £9 for After School Club. If you have any queries, or wish to

Transition
We are busy planning the transition for the children, so that they have a settled start to their
time at Pineham Barns Primary School. At the moment, we are just confirming the dates of
transition events and key dates for September with our newly appointed team; therefore,
families with children in Reception will have receive correspondence within the next few weeks
detailing the plans for September. We will also be holding an evening for all parents to come
along and meet the team at the beginning of July, confirmation of which will follow shortly.
Year One & Two
Our pupils who are joining us in Year One and Two from September, will not have a phased
transition into school, but will have lots of opportunities throughout the first week to get to
know their peers and teacher. The children in this class will begin full time on Tuesday 5 th
September.
