Good warmup as there will be lots of throwing in the recap and pop fly drill
Split off girls who haven't done front throw, grounder and crossover throws.
Front throw pairs then crossover groups of 3 like last time; 2 ball competition drill
* Two groups, 2nd base and short stop. - Once you field the ball and throw to 3rd
or 1st, then run to the back of the line at SS to 2, 2 to SS. .
Grounders - 2nd base & Short Stop

Pop flies - drop step (from one ball to 5

Teach basic - drop step, catch square to the ball and throw. Start with tennis balls
and get the girls to square around - progress to throw and random front or back
Girl at 2nd base and SS position, throw a pop fly they call, catch and throw to a
girl at 3rd base
Partner pop flies, 8 balls and the 2 girls have to call it and get to it, as soon as it is
caught the next ball is in the air

Bunt with a partner - coach ensures good stance
Focus on short swing with hands to the ball (start with batter in stack position if
needed) - Heavy balls
Ball on tee. Coach behind bownet with ball with # behind their back. When girl is
set coach brings the ball to release point and turn the ball to display the number.
The batter must call out the number and hit the ball off the tee.
Use lightest bat (bring smaller lighter bats if needed) - use wiffle balls
Get used to the speed - 5 bunts then 10 Swings
2 balls down the 3rd base line, must field pop throw crossover to 2nd while girl
runs and slides at 2nd
2 Teams, 4 downs to score a touch down. Hit the Wiffle ball off the tee. If caught
in the air the team doesn't move up – If not caught the team advances to where
opp first touched the ball. 4 batters (4 downs).
