Dear ODP Players and Parents,
First of all, good luck to all players participating in Regionals this week.
I have received various emails concerning questions on ODP Uniforms so I wanted to send one
communication to hopefully clear it up. Please see the bullet points below.
1. Players will wear their normal grey and red jerseys for training and games at Region Trials.
2. Laundry will be done every evening by staff, so players do not need to order extra jerseys.
Players need to put their initials with permanent marker on the tags of their clothing.
3. Players could have ordered extra jerseys so that they don’t have to do laundry as much, or to
trade with other states (players will sometimes trade jerseys on the last day). The deadline to
order extra jerseys has already passed—it’s too late for me to order extra jerseys and have them
here in time to distribute at mini-camp. If you missed this opportunity, there may be extra
jerseys for sale at the mini-camp later this month.
4. Players who did order extra jerseys should receive them at mini-camp.
5. At check-in for Region Trials, players will receive a new white jersey top (no number) to wear to
Opening/Closing Ceremonies. It’s important that we look uniform and organized as a State.
6. Everyone has been wearing black shorts and black socks this year. We will continue to do so for
the training sessions at Region Trials, however, we will wear white shorts and white socks during
the matches. You will be responsible for purchasing your own white shorts and socks. Any
brand is ok, but Nike is preferred as we will be partnering with Nike starting next year (please
look for an announcement coming soon).
7. If you need to order additional shorts and socks, here is a good, inexpensive option to order
them from Soccer.com, but must call in via telephone. You will be responsible for shipping
costs. Please call the Soccer.com customer service department at 877-308-7989. You need to
let the rep who assists you know that you are calling with Alabama Soccer Association and that
you want to order from the “extra shorts and socks template”.
