Step One in Transforming Limiting Beliefs into Empowering Actions It is important for you to realize that fear and limiting beliefs are will keep showing up to awaken you to what you need to do next. It is not about getting “rid” of limiting beliefs or fear. It is about Discovering More of You so you have more tools in your toolbox to manage life and work effectively and joyously. This exercise will help you to look into those fears and beliefs and begin to see how you can transform them into empowering actions. As you move through this process, you will begin to be more self-aware so that you can consciously choose how you see the world vs letting your subconscious “drive the bus.” Our limiting beliefs can be influenced by: (Fill the blanks.) (Fill in the blank with who has had the biggest impact on what you see as possible in your life – parents, siblings, coach, teacher, church, grandparent, relative, boss, neighbor, other) Religious or family traditions __________________________________________________ (Limiting Belief) Limiting belief that was unspoken or spoken in regards to cultural or societal rules _________________________________________________________________________________ Limiting belief about what you heard in your house growing up or have decided over time about: Time______________________________________________________________ Money ________________________________________________________________ Relationships __________________________________________________________ Work ________________________________________________________________ Glass ceiling __________________________________________________________ Taking risks ___________________________________________________________ Being a woman ________________________________________________________ Being a man__________________________________________________________ Write as many fears and limiting beliefs as you can think of around work, family, your health, relationships.
