In order to make the assessment process as easy as possible, please follow the
advice below:
- All documents that need to be “uploaded” should be saved in an appropriately
titled folder in your “Documents” on Kaizen, e.g. ARCP 2017, including this
document
- Try to complete the requirements in a timely fashion over the year rather than
waiting towards the end of the year.
- All guidance below applies to all year groups unless specifically mentioned.
ARCP Requirements
Key Documentation: (all required for satisfactory completion)
These documents are important and all need to be completed. Try to book a time
with your supervisor to sit down and complete the important forms, perhaps with a
Supervised Learning Event (SLE) too (see section on SLE’s ahead). A meeting at the
start of the post, the middle, and towards the end will be required.

Supervised Learning Events (SLE’s):
Note – there is no requirement for a minimum total of MiniCEX and CbD, instead
aim for quality not quantity. Useful Supervised Learning Events will challenge,
act as a stimulus for reflection and uncover learning needs. Although the
numerical requirement for SLE’s has been removed, trainees are expected to
demonstrate achievement of competencies through multiple strands of evidence
including SLE’s.
