SLGA May 2017 O B On April 1, 2017, the SLGA held our opening breakfast and the first play day of the 2017 season. It was a fantas c turnout with 54 members a ending the breakfast and 44 golfers. If you missed the event, please stop by the Pro Shop and ask for your copy of the 2017 SLGA Play Book. The Play Book has important rules, an SLGA directory, tournament informa on, and the SLGA calendar. C C Sign up online for the 2017 Ladies Cervantes Cup. The draw will be conducted following the Pink Ball event on May 6th. This is our annual SLGA Ladies Match Play event. Once the bracket is drawn, players will schedule their matches in accordance to the dates laid out on the bracket sheet (usually three to four weeks to schedule your match). All play from the Rose tees. This is a handicapped event with the maximum handicap played to being 36. If you are higher than a 36 you are s ll eligible to play however you will be lowered to a 36 for this event. The event is single elimina on. In Match Play you score by holes won/lost and not total score for 18 holes. It is a fun way to play and is a great that we play in memory of former Member Michelle Cervantes. H S T P • HSTP The High Sierra Team Play is a team compe on among 20 member clubs in Northern Nevada. There is a tournament each month from May through October and each club sends a team of six to each event. Teams are selected from ladies who sign up and play on qualifying days (first three low gross, and first three low net). Qualifying days are on SLGA Play Days, so be sure to sign up to qualify! The Team Captain (Sheri Bradley for the 2017 season) is exempt from qualifying and is always a team member unless she decides otherwise. Alternates are also selected from qualifiers in case someone cannot go.
