We have been exploring odd and even numbers.
You can show this easily by putting out counters or other objects and arranging
them in pairs. Where there is an “odd one out”…an “extra one”, without a
“partner”, the number is odd.
4 is an even number
5 is an odd number
Remember to look at the last digit of a number. If the last digit is odd then
the number is odd but if the last number is even the number is even.

Try counting in 2s starting from 0 (all the even numbers)
