Setting up your KAMAR markbook for Examination
results and report entries
1. Go to you markbook setup and then to Set F - which you will see has been changed to ‘Exam Results’ for Years
11, 12 and 13.

Report entries will come from these two sets. The internals have already been done in Set A, but you will need to set up new
items for the external practice exams in Set F
2. Click on the
button, then ‘New Subject Assessment’ to begin setting up the new entry. The following
window will appear…
Type in the standard name Capital letter for the beginning of
the first word then all lower case
Select ‘Text’ then ‘Academic
Performance Indicator’
Now click
Create
…and there appears your standard in the list…
There are a couple more steps to complete the setup…

Click on the standard to open its details, then the ‘Edit Details’ button at the top left.
The dialogue box below will appear…
Enter the Credit Value
Enter the Standard serial
number
Click Edit
4. Click the ‘Setup’ part of the top navigation list to go back to the beginning…
5. Repeat for each of the external standards you have your course entered
Entering students so their school exam results show up
on the Report
Again, a very easy process and one that most of you will have already done…
1. Go to your markbook entry and choose the first item in Set F

2. Select ‘Tools’ then ‘Show all students in 11XXX’
3. Tick the small green tick under Entered KAMAR…

4. Repeat for each of the new standards you have set up.
5. The class teachers should enable the second tick after they have entered the exam grades. This will link the
grade to the report template.
NOTE:
These are indicative grades with Excelling, Achieving Well, Achieving, Experiencing Difficulty, Not Achieving…
These entries should pretty much mirror the grades from their exams - Excellence >> Excelling etc…
