2017-2018 Registration Information
We would like to invite your son to register for the 2017-2018 Conant Boys
Feeder Basketball Program. The Conant Feeder Program is specifically
designed for the more serious player who wants to play basketball at Conant
High School in the future. For the 2017-2018 season, we will have teams at
the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade levels. We have a proven track record
of getting players ready to play at Conant High School with the majority of
our players ending up on the Varsity High School Roster. You can see a
listing of these players on our website at www.feederbasketball.org.
**You must live in the Conant HS District to be eligible for these teams**
CONANT FEEDER BASKETBALL OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
After getting feedback from the Conant High School Coaching Staff and
other coaches, I have decided to make a change as to how we will run the
feeder program for the upcoming season.
Over the years, we have had issues with players having conflicts on the
tryout dates and some players not attending tryouts because they think they
will not make the team due to how strong the Conant Feeder Program has
been over the years. Because of these reasons and the fact that the Freshman
team will take anywhere from 26 to 30 players, we feel that it is very
important for the Conant Feeder Program to develop as many players as
possible which will make the Conant High School Program that much
stronger.
What we have decided to do is create an open registration process and any
player that lives in the Conant High School District who has a desire to play
basketball for Conant in the future is welcome to sign up for this years
program. We feel that this will allow us to develop more players while still
allowing us to remain competitive at all levels.
Attn Parents: Pleae read through the following notes so you are clear on
how everything will work.
***Our goal for each age level is to have enough players for two teams. We
will run this very similar to how they run it at the Freshman level which is
an “A” team and a “B” team. Players will be moved up and down on a
tournament by tournament basis based on their overall talent, game
performance, practice performance, attendance and attitude.
***We do expect to remain competitive like we have in the past by doing it
this way as we will break down the teams as A and B teams. Moving
players up and down will allow for competition in practice and keep players
motivated. The only difference from how we have done this in the past is
that we will now develop more players and allow for more opportunities to
the future Conant players.
***THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR THE CONANT FEEDER
BASKETBALL PROGRAM IS SEPTEMBER 1, 2017. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE
COULD CLOSE OUT REGISTRATION SOONER IF WE START TO GET TOO
MANY PLAYERS REGISTERED AT A SPECIFIC GRADE LEVEL SO DON’T
WAIT TOO LONG TO REGISTER.

***THE FEE FOR THIS SEASON IS $650 PLUS A $130 UNIFORM PACKAGE
FEE. WE ARE USING THE SAME UNIFORM THAT THE CONANT 5TH
GRADE USED LAST SEASON SO IF YOU ARE NOT A RETURNING PLAYER
FROM THE 5TH GRADE TEAM, YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A NEW
UNFIROM. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU HAVE WCBA PRACTICE GEAR,
THIS CAN BE USED IN PLACE OF THE CONANT PRACTICE GEAR BUT
PRACTICE GEAR IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PLAYERS.
***To register, fill out the attached Registration Form as well as the
Financial Sheet and return that with payment or your deposit to the address
on the form.

The total amount due with the uniform package will be $780. If your son
does not need the practice or uniform , the cost will be $650. Please choose

I understand that playing for Conant Feeder Basketball is done on a
voluntary basis and I understand all the finances as well as the
philosophies and policies of Conant Feeder Basketball. I also
