Reduce size of image in Excel / Word file.
Reduce file size of a .JPGE file –
1. Select the picture file which is to be compressed (Figure-01).

2. Right click on the image (Figure–2).

3. Go to open with option (Figure–3).

4. Select
Microsoft Office Picture Manager (Figure-4).

5. After selecting the option the image will be displayed as per
bellow (Figure-5).

6. Select the option
Edit Pictures……. (Figure-6).

7. After selecting the option the image will be displayed as per
bellow (Figure-7).

The Edit Picture tool bar consist different option as per bellow:
1. Auto Correct – The option Auto Correct, corrects the selected image automatically for colour &
brightness.
2. Brightness & Contrast – As the name suggest, the option is to be used to adjust the brightness &
contrast only of the selected image.
3. Color – As the name suggest, the option is to be used for slight colour adjustments only.
4. Crop – As the name suggest, the option is to be used to crop the extra portion or unwanted portion
on the image.
5. Rotate – This option is used to rotate or flip (Horizontal or Vertical) the image as per the user.
6. Resize – This option is used to resize the image as required.
7. Compress Pictures – This option is used for compressing the image. To compress the image
follow the bellow steps.
7:7a. Select the option Compress Pictures. After selecting the
option the bellow page will be displayed (Figure – 7a).

7:7b. Select the option Web pages & click OK (Figure – 7b).

7:7c. The file is now compressed & ready to save. Got File
option of the main menu tool bar & select save as option, give
the file name & select Save (Figure – 7c).

Reduce size of image in Excel / Word file:
1. Open the Excel / Word file which contains the Image file
(Figure-8).

2. Select the image. After selecting the image the Picture tool
bar will be displayed (Figure-9).

3. If after selecting the image the picture tool bar dose not
displays, Right click on blank space available on the tool bar the
list will be displayed (Figure-10).

4. Select () the Picture option from the list & the picture tool
bar will be displayed (Figure-11).

5. Once the picture is selected & picture tool bar is displayed, go
to
Compress Picture option of the Picture Tool Bar (Figure12).

6. After selecting the
Compress Picture option a window
will be displayed as per bellow, select the option Web/Screen
form the Change resolution section & then click OK (Figure-13).
The Image is now compressed
