Columbia 150 Classroom Technology
1. Turn the projector on
A. In the upper right-hand corner of the touch panel, press “Power On” to start up the system.
B. Press “Projector On” for each individual projector.
2. Connect your device
A. Connect your device to the preferred cable located in the black cable box next to the touch panel.
The system supports the following signal inputs: HDMI (audio and video), VGA, Blu-ray,
Document Camera, and RCA.
B. For some devices (such as Macbooks and tablets), it may be necessary to connect an adapter to
either the VGA or HDMI.

3. Select your projection source
A. To route a source to a specific display, press and drag the button for the source that you would
like to use (Presenter Input (HDMI, VGA, RCA), Blu-ray, Doc Cam). You may have to scroll through
the options are the top to find the desired source. Select and drag the input icon into the space
for Projector 1 (or Main Projector).
B. Columbia 150 has a shortcut that will allow you to display the same image on all output sources (projectors
and flat screens). Press “Sync projectors to Main” button to utilize this shortcut.
C. As a multi-display system, it is also capable of displaying different images onto different output
sources. For example, one projector can be connected to a computer via VGA, while another can
be connected to a tablet via HDMI.
4. Audio
Audio will accompany video with Projector 1.

D. If you would like to connect the sound to the system, plug the audio cable into the headphone
input of your device. If you are connected via the HDMI cable, you do not need to connect this
cable.
E. Note: the input in use must be dragged onto “Projector 1” for audio, even if that projector is off
and not being used to display an image.

F. You can control the volume by tapping the volume options along the bottom of the screen.
5. Microphones
A. Columbia 150 has a microphone docking station located under the podium. There are two
wireless handheld microphones and one wireless clip-on microphone.
B. Turn on the microphone by switching the toggle to ON.
C. Tap the “Mic & Audio” button on the touch panel to adjust individual audio levels.
D. When finished, turn the microphone off, return it to its charging station and press down until it
clicks into place.

6. Blu-ray Control
A. In the lower right-hand corner of the touch panel, press the button that says “Blu-ray Ctrl”
B. Then press the “on” button to turn on the Blu-ray player.
C. Afterwards press on the eject button to eject the DVD slide and insert your DVD.
D.
Press the “Play” button and your video will commence.
E. If you need to return to the home page press the home button located on the lower left-hand
corner of the touch panel.

7. Turn off the system when finished.
A. Press the power button on the upper right-hand corner of the touch panel and then select
“Yes, shut down the system and display now” button.
Troubleshooting Tips
A. What if my audio isn’t working?
a. If you are connected via an audio cable, confirm the cord is plugged in all of the way. Confirm that
the player volume (Youtube, Windows Media Player) and the device’s volume are turned up. Next,
turn up the classroom volume on the Crestron touch panel.
b. Confirm the correct audio output is selected on your computer
HDMI users: If you are connecting the audio through HDMI source and the audio is NOT
transmitting to the room system, please follow these steps:
i. In the lower right-hand corner of your laptop, right-click on the speaker icon and
then select “Playback Devices”
ii. Next, right-click on the “Crestron” input to enable, you may have to right-click on
the “Speakers/Headphones” to disable,
VGA Users/Audio Cable users: Confirm that the audio cable is completely plugged into your
device and the far end is plugged into the audio input jack. Confirm that the player volume
(Youtube, Windows Media Player) and the device’s volume are turned up. Next, turn up the
classroom volume on the Crestron touch panel.

B. I’ve plugged in the HDMI (or VGA) cable, but my computer is not projecting?
a. It could be that that your device has no recognized the display system yet, try re-plugging in the
cable that is connected to your device and confirm that the correct input is selected on the touch
panel.
C. The Crestron screen is frozen
a. Contact CMET so a technical can properly reset the system.
D. Lighting Controls
a. Lighting controls are located behind the podium, on the wall near the mechanical room door.
