The 28th July 1944, Germans had
started their assault on Vercors since
one week.
From 28th july to the 3rd august, the repression
took place in Vercors, particulary in Vassieux
where the German barbarism had made much
damage.
A lot of farms have been burnt and
many people murdered wildly. After,
teams of men and women made
makeshift coffins to a common grave.
In all, 202 people have been killed ;
young people, old people hadn’t been
immune.
