MANCHESTER COUNTY FA – YOUTH CUP
MANAGERS RESPONSIBILITIES
1. You must make yourself aware of the rules of the competition. These can be found at
http://www.manchesterfa.com/cup/youth-cup - ignorance is no excuse!!
2. You must download and complete a registered players list which should be sent to
[email protected] 7 days prior to the fixture.
3. If you are the home team you must download a match sheet and ensure that this is fully
completed and signed on the day of the game. You must ensure that it is completed by both
Managers and that a score is given for the referees performance on the day. Form is attached
to this email.
4. The correct pitch, ball and goal size must be used for the game (see rules point 7)
5. You must ensure that a Respect barrier is used
6. If you are the home team you must contact the referee at least 7 days before the fixture to
confirm the details of the game. If you have any issues contacting the referee or if he is
unable to referee the game you need to contact [email protected]
7. If the referee does not attend the fixture then both teams must agree a suitable replacement
from their parents/management team. The replacement official acts as referee for the full
duration. If this happens please ensure you inform [email protected]
8. If you are the home team you must contact the opposing team and confirm the fixture details
to them including directions to the ground and the surface that the game will be played on 7
days prior to the fixture.
9. Payment to the referee must be split equally between the teams and the home team must
pay the referee and then obtain half of the payment from the opposing team.
10. If you are the home team you must confirm the match result preferably by email to
[email protected] or if this is not available you can reply by text to full-time
within 24 hours of the end of the game. Please ensure that you include the age group in your
email.
11. If you are the home team you must either post the match sheet or scan it and email it to
[email protected] so that we receive it within 7 days of the game taking place.

IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES ON THE DAY OF THE GAME RELATING TO THE PITCH CONDITION, SIZE OF
GOALS, ETC THEN THESE SHOULD BE DISCUSSED WITH THE REFEREE WHO CAN MAKE A DECISION
ON WHETHER THE MATCH CAN BE PLAYED.
