IBM Content Collector 3.0 Configuring User Defined Metadata (FSC) and Using the Expression Editor Information Management © 2011 IBM Corporation Information Management Defining custom File System Metadata ICC 2.0 In ICC 2.0 a custom File System Metadata definition can be generated using a wizard which will reads the metadata file (XML or CSV) and then prompts the Administrator to define the attributes of the data fields. Once defined these fields can be used within any task route where the Associate Metadata task is configured to use this Metadata Definition. ICC 3.0 In ICC 3.0 this configuration has been split between the User Defined Metadata section, and with the task route itself. In the User-defined Metadata section administrators configure the field definitions. These can be imported from an XML file or entered manually. All additional field attributes are now defined on the task route using the Associate Metadata Task or the new FSC Metadata File Collector. 2 © 2012 IBM Corporation Information Management Common Error Encountered: Administrators unfamiliar with ICC 3.0 may attempt to set-up a new Custom File System Metadata definition using the steps they are familiar with from ICC 2.0. In ICC 3.0 InfoCenter, search for “Tour Expression Editor” & watch the Viewlet. Today I will demonstrate using the Expression editor to assign property values, and to configure rules. 4 © 2012 IBM Corporation Information Management It's time for a Demonstration 5 © 2012 IBM Corporation Information Management QUESTIONS? 6 © 2011 IBM Corporation
