FAQ
How do you chose the films?
Moviola (who provide the films and deal with royalties etc) send us
information and trailers on about 25 films three times each year. The four
of us meet up, look at these and lots of reviews and select the 4 which we
think give variety and would appeal most to a Coverack audience.
The Light Between Oceans
Important
Announcement
All our profits directly
benefit Lambeage
Hall.
To break even we
need an audience of
25+.
When are the films on?
We aim for the third Friday of each month but we move that if it clashes with other local events. We hope
local event planners will consider avoiding the 3rd Friday, if possible, when planning their events.
Can I suggest a film choice?
Definitely! No guarantees as the film has to be on the Moviola list, but we are grateful for suggestions and we
do bear them in mind when selecting.
How do I find out what films are coming up?
We put posters around the village, Ponsongath and St Keverne. They are also on Lambeage website and
our facebook page (Coverack Film Night). If you would like a notice sent straight to your email address then
contact [email protected]
I’ve never been to a film show at Lambeage. What’s it like?
Doors open at 7pm and a warm welcome is assured. The bar is open and
chocolates available. We show a short film, a trailer and then have an
intermission for ice-creams, chocolate and refills at the bar. The lucky
number ticket is drawn for a free ticket to our next show. The main film is
then shown without interruption.
More Important News
Past Films
Our most popular film by far was Lady in a Van, followed by The
Imitation Game, The Second Best Marigold Hotel, The Book Thief
and Capt Phillips. We try to vary the choices to appeal to a wide
range of you. The Hundred year Old Man who climbed out a
window and disappeared – was hugely enjoyed by those who
pitched up, but not a well-attended evening.
