a) After a competition process an employee is hired into one position where the position is expected
to be for a term greater than 12 months up to 48 months. An employee must have a 40% workload to
be enrolled in the benefit plans. The Grade and Job Code are determined by Compensation and Job
Design.
b) Employee has 1707 hours and the position is expected to be for 12 months or less. The Grade is
determined by the benchmark applicable to the job. Employee receives 10% Benefit Pay in lieu of
benefits.
Paid Semi-Monthly: Semi-monthly pay schedule
Rate: The rate must be 100% of the Grade and Step
Job Code: The job code assigned is based on the work schedule for either 35, 37.5 or 40 hours week
