TRAIL (B Fayd’Herbe) at the 50m. A Member of the Stipendiary Board called for a race review, which
was followed by Jockey B Fayd’Herbe (ICY TRAIL) lodging an Objection against ROMAN SILVANUS
(G van Niekerk) being declared the winner on the grounds of intimidation in the latter stages. After
reviewing the patrol films from various angles, considering the evidence heard by the Board and
giving regard to the distance of a short head was of the opinion that but for the interference ICY
TRAIL (B Fayd’Herbe) would have finished ahead of ROMAN SILVANUS (G van Niekerk) and
therefore upheld the Objection and amended the Judges’ result. This incident will be reviewed.

In view of the performance from CAROUSEL SWING (B Fayd’Herbe) (20.55 lengths), the Veterinary
Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a
report.
At the 300m DUBAI DANCING (G Wright) shifted in, which resulted in POWERTRIP (G van Niekerk)
becoming cramped for galloping room. CAROUSEL SWING (B Fayd’Herbe), which was racing on his
inside, on the inside running rail, became severely cramped and had to check for a number of strides.
Jockey G Wright (DUBAI DANCING) was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that he
failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners when he shifted in at the 300m.
Jockey G Wright signed an admission of guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of
7 days. (Dates to be advised)
Jockey G Wright (DUBAI DANCING) was charged with a contravention of Rule 59.5, read with
Guideline 1 on overweight) in that he accepted to ride DUBAI DANCING when he was unable to draw
the correct carded weight. Jockey G Wright signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1,000.00.

which rolled in onto SHOUT (A Domeyer), which became cramped for galloping room and had to
ease for a number strides.

were stood down on medical grounds. (Rule 25.12 was not applied)
