The 2014 Yearbook Theme is:
A Picture to Remember
The cover will be matte lithos
with photographs of the school in
Sepia Tone.
This is an example of a
sepia tone photograph.
The front cover will be a picture of
students entering the school.
The back cover will be a picture of
students leaving the school.
The title page, the first page of the
book, will feature letter art spelling
Winona.
Using items from around the school
you will be challenged to spell
Winona in photographs.
Picture Frames will appear throughout
the book in a variety of ways and
places.
On sports pages frames will
highlight scoreboards and
pictures of team captains.
On opening pages in
portrait sections,
frames will emphasize
the class year.
We will also be working with
frames in this manner.
Arranging images in photo
booth style is another way
the idea of pictures will be
explored throughout the
book.
Photo booth arrangement of
images will also appear on
end sheets.
New idea:
Division pages will introduce Sports, Academic and Activities Sections.
These pages will utilize a sepia toned dominant photo that goes across
the double page spread along with “photo booth strips”.
New idea:
The Friends From Way Back Pages will be at the beginning of the
student portrait sections. The way back picture will be sepia toned.
The Student Life Section opens the book and
contains student interests beyond school:
New ideas in this section will be:
Peers and Pets – Students and their pets
Fans – pictures of fans at games showing rituals and the award
winning spirit generated in the stands.
Revisited idea from the 2011 book –
“Photo Survey” during lunch waves:
This time we hope to be able to get
responses handwritten on iPads.
This will also be a class activity
during lunch waves.
Also in the student life section:
2 pages will be devoted to trends, new trends not explored
before or done better than before.
