What is FIRST Global?
FIRST Global sponsors the International Robot
Olympics, where over 160 countries send one team
each of high school aged kids to build robots and
complete this year's FIRST Global Challenge: a
scenario revolving around access to clean water.
Tasked with inspiring science and technology
leadership and innovation in young people from all nations, FIRST Global shows the
leaders of tomorrow that if they learn to communicate, cooperate, and work together
using the tools of science and engineering, they can change the world.
Vols/Ambassadors Needed
More than anything, FIRST Global is about
bringing people together. To further that mission,
we need help from men and women who are
willing to serve as volunteers or Team Ambassadors. Ambassadors are assigned a
country to work with for the duration of the tournament, and are given two tasks:
making sure the team gets where it needs to be on time, and making sure the students
feel comfortable in a foreign nation. The world gets a little brighter when we take care
of our kids. Let us know if you can help.
