Been awfully unlucky to not have
won already. She drew the rail in
her starts two and three back. It
looked like she had a pace edge 2
back but was off slow and could
not make up the ground. Faced
males in last and couldn’t get to
the Kenny Black trained At Ease,
who went wire to wire. Blinkers
added back. Obvious win player.
No question what Miller will do in
this spot. He tabs bug rider, Pena
who he’s put up for 2 wins. Both
of those wins were wire to wire.
Since this filly showed speed in
both of her starts, and this is at
5.5F, expect her to be sent right
from go. Miller 27% MSW to mdn
clm (won 3 of last 4, that move).
Sire won two G2 stakes sprinting.
Very good US debut when 2nd to
an O’Neill runner who crushed on
the lead. This one was sitting a
good trip, got shuffled slightly on
the far turn and then held safe in
the stretch. Sire’s sire, Sakhee,
won Arc de Triomphe and 2nd in
‘01 BC Classic behind Tiznow. 3rd
in last, 2nd to Frank Conversation
in the El Camino Real Saturday.
A lot is changing for this gelding.
He goes turf to dirt off a 6 week
break. He was also gelded since
his last race. Think the breeding
leans more to dirt than turf. Dam
was a stakes placed dirt runner
and the sire won G1’s on dirt. Ran
huge behind stakes types in 3rd
start on dirt here when beaten a
length. Working sharply for this.
Close call between top 2 choices
here. Lean here based on how
well he’s working & what a great
job the trainer did w/ Texas Red
in this race as his first start as a
3YO (lost by a neck). Runner-up
in last came back to win the G3
Withers. 4th, Found Money, won a
101k stakes at LRC next. 2 others
won alw next out. Looks very live.

There is a chance that the top two
choices go after each other early. It
would set it right up for this one to
roll in late. Dam was all turf. Has to
make up a couple on the top pick.
Trainer is low percentage but has
been 3rd at long odds in last 2 with
first timers in maiden claiming and
one was ridden by Talamo. Works
are similar to the two first timers.
Didn’t get the best trip in his first
start on the turf. He ended up only
2.5 behind the top choice and was
closing well. Close relation to Lord
at War in the female family tree.
Working well for his return and has
sprinter speed. If no one else goes
out with him, he becomes a great
threat to wire this field. Faced G1
level foes so far. Can go either way.
No disgrace in losing to Awesome
Banner in last. That runner is 3 for
3, set the track record at 4.5F in his
debut and has 3 90+ Beyers. Third
2 back was 3rd at 6-1 in G2 Swale.

First time starter for Sise who is
not known for winning with first
timers. He is 1 for 31 in the last 5
years with debut runners. He did
have a first timer win in 2010 for
these owners. He is working very
well and the clockers have been
impressed with him. Bred to win
early. Likely has talent but we do
not know if Sise has him ready.
She may have decent early speed
but we can’t tell because she has
a problem getting out of the gate
on time. She was pulling and in
tight in last and was only a half
behind the 2nd choice in that one
at 13-1. Blanc was up 2 back for a
9-1 win with a rally from far back
into a fast pace. She is working
well since last. Logical class drop.
Seems that Garcia has this 6YO
mare figured out. She ran 3rd at
31-1 two back. The winner of that
race came back to win twice and
that included a TUP stakes. The
winner in last came back to win a
62k opt clm for Miller at 5-1 next
out. She’s run well down-the-hill
and has been working strongly
since last out on New Year’s Day.
On paper he wins this for fun if a
firster doesn’t step up. He was in
a MSW in debut and popped and
stopped. Came back in first start
at 3YO and was a sharp 2nd. The
winner was 3-5 for O’Neill 2nd off
a claim. Dam is half to a couple of
graded stakes winners including
Prospect Park. Will likely be sent
and try and shake them quickly.

Completely missed the break in 1st
start and was bet down to favored
status in 2nd start with blinkers on.
Gelded since last. Blinkers are off
and the works are solid. Looks live.
Won three back with a 79 Beyer in
a starter allowance. Can excuse her
next start when in too high. Exits
the same race as top choice in last.
Winner ran 2nd in op clm 40k next.
Claimed for 40k in last start. She’s
3 for 3 in the money going 6.5F on
this turf. Has good late power and
gets one of the best turf riders up
for the first time. Big late run here.
Was bet in the debut and he ran a
respectable race. Winner won for
fun in his next start. Bobbled in his
last start. Gelded since then and is
having blinkers 1st time. Tab tote.
