Set Up Manual
As a team, we create excellent and inspiring environments
that are distraction-free where people can encounter God.
Need to
know.........
You are setting up the
environment where
many people will meet
God for the first time,
some will renew their
trust in Him, and
others will grow closer
to Him. While you are
setting up the worship
space, you are
Teams...
Your job is EXTREMELY
important! Thanks so much
for investing in Vintage, and
in others.
worshipping. So give
God and those who
will worship with us
tomorrow your best.
The best way to tackle this set up
is by splitting into teams of 2 or 3
people. Initially, everyone will be
unloading the pod while 2 teams
get the gym floor covered. After
the flooring is down, teams can
work simultaneously on all of the
other tasks. When your team is
done, move on to another task, or
help out another team.
What to tackle first...
Start out by unloading the pod and
temporarily put everything in the
general area it belongs. During the
unloading, 2 teams should be
covering the gym floors. After the
unload, split up in to teams and start
the set up of each task.
.............
The not so fine print.
1. Laugh & have fun.
2. NEATNESS COUNTS!
3. Be on time & don’t leave until the whole team is dismissed.
4. Dub step or dance music is always appropriate while setting up.

Here’s how to do it.
This is a 4 person job, 2 people rolling out the cover, 2 people taping.
*Avoid wrinkles, and make sure to overlap each row by at least 3”.
Start with the cart in the left corner of the room, (opposite of entrance) up
against the wall and the bleachers. Lock down the casters, then gently pull
the fabric out. Keep it strait, and stop when you reach the other wall.
Unlock the cart and move it over for the next row, leaving a 3” overlap on
each row. Repeat, then tape the seems.

Here’s how to do it.
This is a 2 person job and is EXTREMELY important.
*Everything in the room will be set/go off of these measurements.
After the floor covering is down, start by finding a black piece of duct tape
on both the bottom of the bleachers, and the along the bottom of the
schools stage. This piece of duct tape is 33’ from the back wall of the gym.
Run 1 tape across the room from these 2 markers/pieces of tape. Tape that
tape measure to the floor, and this line will mark the front edge of the stage.
35’ on the tape measure will mark the center of the stage.
Next, find the next 2 pieces of tape on the bleachers and wall and run a
tape in-between them. This tape is marks the front row of chairs. 35’ on
the tape measure will mark the center of the chairs.

Here’s how to do it.
This is easier with at least 2 people.
Our stage is a rectangle, 3 platforms deep by 8 platforms wide. The stage
should be centered with the room (left to right, 35’ from blue bleachers is
center), and the front of the stage should be 33 feet from the back wall.
Everything else in the room is placed according to the stage, so the
placement must be correct.
1) Unpack the platform and risers.
2) Expand riser completely.
3) Align corner locking posts with corner holes on platform.
4) Lock platform to riser by turing the locking screws clockwise with the hex key until tightly
secured.
5) Make sure the platform interlocking devices are in the closed position.
6) Insert male locking mechanism into groove on opposite platform and rotate locking screw
clockwise. Repeat until the stage is complete.
7) Add stairs on both sides (in the middle section), and the skirt on the front and 2 sides.

Here’s how to do it.
This is a 2 person job.
1) Unfold the frame, lock all latches and corner brace, and lay the frame face up on the floor.
2) Attach the legs to the frame using the crank bolts. (2 bolts per side, using the top holes for maximum screen height) Make
sure the black tightening knobs on the legs face towards the inside.
3) Match top of screen surface (labeled TOP) with top of frame, snap the four corners, then work from the center out to snap the
rest of the snaps. The screen will be tight, so don’t be afraid to pull on it.
4) Raise front foot of each leg and lock corner brace.
5) With 1 person at each leg, raise screen to standing position.
6) Lower back foot and lock into place.
Set up each screen, and place them side by side (fames butted together) in
a strait line. All 3 screens should be centered behind the stage and sit on
the lid to staging cases. Once all screens are in place, zip tie the legs to the
screen next to it and attach the screen skirts.
For storage, follow special instructions in the case for folding the screen.

Here’s how to do it.
You’ll want help for this one. Or a giant.
Starting from the outside edge of one screens, start laying the corner bases
(B) following the diagram below. On the left side of the room, the pipe &
drape should only be 1’ from the bleachers. On the right side, there should
be 4’ from the schools stage. After the corner bases are down, you can
start setting it all up. There should be 4 drapes on every support. Once
you’ve finished, go back and safety pin all of the drapes together to
eliminate gaps.
Parts: 20 bases, 19 telescoping uprights, 19 drape supports (extend to 14’), 76 drapes (52” wide each)

Unfold, put in place. Be neat.
The front row of chairs should be 8’ from the front edge of the stage. Aisles are 6’ wide, and
from the front leg of a chair on one row to the front leg of the chair on the next row should
be 3’.
We do 3 sections of chairs, the middle section has 8 chairs per row, and is 11 rows deep.
The outer 2 sections will be 12 rows deep, and start off with 4 chairs per row (for 1st
service).

You’ll need a friend, and the items pictured below.
* Don’t fall.
We cover all of the gym windows with black coroplast. 13 whole sheets go
on the side of the gym with bleachers, and are numbered to indicate order
(from left to right). While standing on the bleachers, align the coroplast in
the right direction (arrow up on label) and secure the coroplast to the metal
window frames with the Velcro. Make sure the top of the corplast sheet is
attached as securely as possible to the Velcro to avoid gaps where
light can shine through.

Be neat.
- 2 Bright Orange Heavy Gauge 50’ extension cords (w/ 3 plugs on end) runs from the
subs to behind the pipe and drape as far is they will run. You will have to add a Red/
Black Heavy Gauge 50’ extension cord (w/ single plug end) to both cords to make them
reach the power distribution box. All of these cords are labeled w/ Orange tape. These
power speakers & subs ONLY.
- Neon Purple Heavy Gauge 100’ extension cord (w/ single plug end) plugs into the white
outlet in the power distribution box. The other end runs behind the MixRack and plugs
into the bigger power strip that has the yellow cord (also labeled w/ white tape). This
will power the MixRack, Wireless Rack, all 3 projectors, and the confidence monitor ONLY.
Some projectors may need short black extension cord (12’ w/ single plug end) to reach
the power strip.
- Yellow Heavy Gauge 100’ extension cord (w/ sing plug end) runs from where the first
amp booth sits to the power distribution box and is labeled w/ green tape. Plug a bpower
strip (labeled w/ green tape) into the end. Run a black 50’ cord (labeled w/ green tape)
from this power strip to behind the other amp isolation booth and plug another power
strip in (labeled w/ green tape). This powers guitar amps, pedal boards, and LED bars and
LED stage cans ONLY.
- Black Medium Gauge 20’ extension cord (w/ single plug end) plugs into the front outlet
on the MixRack and runs to stage where the Loop Rack sits by the drummer. This powers
the loop rack ONLY.
- Red/Black Heavy Gauge 50’ extension cord (w/ 3 plugs added to end) plugs into the
outlet under the water fountain in the lobby. The other end goes behind the pipe & drape
near the back light tree on the left side (congregations left). Of the 3 plugs, one will be a
short BLACK cord powering the back light tree. The other is the Medium Gauge Green
50’ that will run to the front light tree. This front tree will need a Short Medium Gauge
BLACK cord to power the tree. All these cords power the left 2 trees ONLY.
- Red/Black Heavy Gauge 1’ extension cord (w/ 3 plugs added to end) plugs into
distribution box (labeled yellow). Of these 3 plugs, run a cord to power the back tree, and
run an extension cord to the front tree.
- Black Medium Gauge 50’ extension cord (labeled pink) runs from the distribution box to
the AV booth. There it plugs into a power strip.
