 Monday, August 29th Every Period Community Agreements Lesson objective:​ Falcons (teachers and students) will create classroom­based expectations (aka Community Agreements) based on the three Valley Values. Lesson format:​ In the student handbook you will find a blank Community Agreement chart. The chart will be completed in classes on ​Monday, August 29​. Each period, you will establish behavior expectations for your classroom. Lesson Length:​ teacher discretion EVERY class period
WE ARE VALLEY Period 1 Say​: Please take out your agenda and turn to the School Wide Expectations (pg.16 ). Let’s review our school­wide expectations. (Teacher­led discussion) All Periods Say:​ Now, open your agendas and turn to page ​14­15 ​ to the Community Agreements. The Community Agreements are the behavior expectations that we have for THIS class as a classroom community. This is an AGREEMENT between all of us­­that’s why it’s a COMMUNITY agreement. ● What do you think being connected looks like in this class? ● What do you think being lifelong learners looks like in this class? ● What do you think being strong looks like in this class? (Teachers and students will fill out the charts together.)
