Crossroads a Newsletter of the North Fork United Methodist Church We Are United in Seeking Christ and Making Christ Known Pastor Tom MacLeod Associate Pastor Jerri Schwarz Lay Leaders: Randy Rogers, Rusty Ackroyd and Jerry Doroski Message Corner Public Meeting for the Plans of the Church As a church we have journeyed together during the season of Lent. A time in which we reflect and remember with awesome wonder our Risen Savior Jesus the Christ and His amazing sacrifice on our behalf. On Tuesday night April 4th in lieu of our regular board meeting, Pastor Tom an overview of the new church building site plan. As most of you are aware, we are in the planning process to build a new centrally located church on the southeast corner of Horton Lane and Cty Rd. 48. The proposed site plan includes a 7,400-square-foot building with 42 parking spaces. This site plan features a one level design with a sanctuary that can seat 144 people in worship as well as an entire building that is handicap accessible. Now we are about to enter into Holy Week. The very first thing we celebrate is Palm Sunday. A day that marks Jesus’ arrival into Jerusalem. As the week progresses we recall our Savior’s suffering and death on the cross on Good Friday. But death does not have the final word as the week culimnates on Easter Sunday. So, on behalf of Pastor Tom, myself, and all those who work here to make God’s kingdom visible we embrace you all with love during this time of glorious preparation and celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord. Our fervent prayer is that all of your lives will be transformed in the light of Christ’s Resurrection and that the peace of God the Father will be with us all as we journey together. Christ the Lord is Risen!! God Bless You all! Pastor Jerri A public meeting for our site plan review is scheduled for April 10th at the Southold Town Office at 6pm.
