Dear Team Captain:
It’s Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County’s county-wide Bowl for Kids’ Sake time—a fun way to help
Snohomish County children find a supportive mentor! Build your teams, raise money and come out
dressed in your favorite 50’s Bee Boppin-style to bowl for fun on Saturday, October 1st or Sunday,
October 2nd!
We ask each bowler to raise a minimum of $100 in pledges, but don’t stop there! Remember the
following levels of pledges earn a prize:

$100 earns you a BFKS T-shirt

$250 earns our comfy, coveted sweatshirt

$350 gives you entry into a special prize drawing!
Your pledges are the life-blood of our agency. The dollars you raise during this event continues the
matching of caring adult volunteers with kids in need of a little extra support.
Team Captain Responsibilities:
1. Recruit a team of five bowlers (yourself and four others). Try challenging another department at work,
a cross-town rival, or your siblings.
2. Create your on-line fundraising page, distribute your Bowl For Kids’ Sake Flyer, online directions, tip
sheets and pledge forms to your bowlers. Remind them of the prizes available and encourage them to
secure as many pledges as possible. Emphasize the importance of on-line donations and if they use the
pledge sheets, complete and legible information. Big Brothers Big Sisters can handle billing and
collection of pledges over $25 via invoice if you choose (however, we encourage you to collect the
funds).
3. Return your fully completed Team Information Sheet. Get it to Sanda Anderson at the Big Brothers Big
Sisters office no later than Friday, September 23 so that we can make lane assignments and enter you
into the electronic scoring system.
4. Remind your team members to bring completed sponsor sheets and collected pledge money with
them to the check-in area. Print legibly so all information can be easily read. Turn in all pledges and
money to the Big Brothers Big Sisters staff upon registration!
5. Arrive 30 minutes early for check-in on the day your team is scheduled at the Bowl For Kids’ Sake
party. Turn in pledges, pick-out your bowling ball, put on your shoes, and enjoy the party!
