The Stags make it 3 in a row, well kind of. The Stags arrived at PGA on Thursday to find their opponents had defaulted with only two of their players showing up (probably scared). Instead of having no game the team decided to give their opponents three players and play four on the court with one sub. It was good to see the teams play hard against each other and Henry Baker managed to slot a number of good shots from wide out. Unfortunately he was playing for the Tamatea side and Henry along with Floyd and Pashence helped themselves to a win of 20-13. Tamati got himself into a number of good positions for layups but they did not drop at all. Te Pohue also forgot about their defensive line which they will need this week in their last game of the term against the Napier Hornets at 4:20 @PGA. However, with Sophie back and Pashence and Paris playing well on defence this should be rectified. If Te Pohue win against the Hornets, the Stags will finish third in the division. That should be plenty of motivation to leave on Thursday with the victory. The Stags would like to continue playing in term 2 so please ask your child for the permission slip that includes all game dates for Term 2.
