REALTORS®, affiliates ‘kick it’ with rivalry, networking to benefit
Foodbank
VIRGINIA BEACH/CHESAPEAKE — Talk about friendly competition! Plenty was found May 7 during the
Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association’s annual REALTORS® vs. Affiliates Kickball Tournament. The tourney,
with the event’s biggest team turnout to date, was presented by HRRA’s Affiliates Council at Woodstock Park in
Virginia Beach, followed by an after-party at Eagles Nest Rockin' Country Bar in Chesapeake.
The Affiliates took home the trophy 6-4 in a hard-fought victory over the REALTORS®, but competition didn't end
there. Friendly corn-hole, billiards and mechanical bull-riding challenges heated up the after-party, which was
presented by HRRA’s The Network.
Both the tourney and party raised donations of money and nonperishable food for the Foodbank of Southeastern
Virginia while members and affiliates enjoyed networking and good sportsmanship on the field and beyond.
The event sponsor was Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, and door-prize sponsors were AGT Title Inc., Atlantic Bay,
BB&T Mortgage, Cox Communications, First American Home Buyers Protection, George Mason Mortgage, HMS
Home Warranty of Virginia, McCaskey and Associates Inc., New Penn Financial, Norfolk Air Heating Cooling &
Plumbing, Prestige United Title Insurance, Safe House Property Inspection, Smoke Detector Man, The Real Estate
Printer, Title Concepts, US Inspect and ZooPro Wildlife Removal Inc.
Upcoming Affiliates Council events include a Chili Cookoff and Tailgate Party from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 19 and the Wine
& Cheese Social from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 22, both at HRRA headquarters, 638 Independence Pkwy. in Chesapeake.
HRRA’s Affiliates Council, known as the Circle of Experts, is made up of affiliate members who provide services and
products that are invaluable to REALTOR® members and the general public. The Network’s membership is made up
of active, career-minded real estate professionals who want to serve the community, educate themselves on the
latest technology and industry practices, and network with fellow REALTORS®.
