Newsletter – June 2017
Welcome, what’s been happening over the past month? What is going to happen over the coming month?
Employee of the month – Hayley has been award the employee of the month for May, she is super fantastic.
Sun Shades and canopies – Snowdrops garden have new sun shades so babies can have some of their meals outdoors.
Re-surfacing – The larger playground has had some re-surfacing of the grounds.
Snowdrops Sensory Unit – Snowdrops are re-building their sensory area, new equipment as been purchased.
Important notices
Suncream – Please provide your child with a bottle of suncream if they don’t purchase nursery sun cream and please check that
it’s in date. Where possible can you apply your child’s suncream prior to nursery as this will make going outside faster and easier
in the mornings.
Sunhats – All children must have a sun hat and please label it with your child’s name.
Toys from Home – Toys brought in from home are not nursery staff responsibility, if the item is lost we will not take responsible
in finding the lost item.
Photographs – Photographs have now arrived at nursery. Please collect them from your child’s room.
Extended 30 hours – We will be emailing out a date and guide when to register and complete the 30 hour eligibility forms online.
Please wait until you receive an email and confirmation of dates.
Babysitting – If a member of Scallywags’ staff are going to babysit for you, you must have a copy of nursery’s babysitting policy.
Doors – Please close all internal and external doors fully behind you and please escort your children into the room and not just
leave them at the door.
Voucher set up date - Please could you contact your childcare voucher company and request your vouchers be paid to Scallywags
Nursery on the 28th or 1st of each month. Please also specify the month for which each voucher is intended. A late fee will be
charged from July’s fees.

9th – Wear red to support the British Heart Foundation
Pirate themed activities.
18th – Scallywags Fun day 11am – 2pm
Regular water play outside in the
garden.
Transition documents will be going out to
parents at the beginning of June & must
be returned 23rd June.
Graduation letters will be going out wk:
29th May & must be returned by 30th June
Please inform the office of your child’s
last official day at nursery if your child is
leaving for school this septemebr 2017
23rd – Pre-school transition must be returned
30th – Pre-school graduation letters must be returned
