2014
Hello Crafter/Vendor:
East Brookfield’s Friends for the Community Committee and the Fire Association welcome you to our
Independence Day celebration. We hope it is an enjoyable and worthwhile experience for you.
For your safety and that of all others involved and for a smooth operation, we are including the
following information:
Event Date: Saturday, July 12, 2013 / Rain date: July 13
Where: Connie Mack Field, East Brookfield
Set-up: 9:00 – 11:00 am. Events start after the parade or about 1:00. If you are not staying
for the evening, please prepare to transport and leave the field by 4:30 pm
The “wheels parade” is at 11:30. The street will be closed about 11:15 – 11:30. Route 9 will be
closed at about 12:00 for the bigger parade.
Please see a Friends for the Community volunteer (blue t-shirts) for your assigned/numbered
10X10 spot. You may drive your vehicle onto the field to unload and set-up & then, for safety
reasons, must park behind the Municipal Building (but not in the circular drive in front).
If you choose to remain on the field selling your items after 6:00 pm, which is when
the biggest crowd comes in for the 9:30 fireworks, you cannot move your booth
contents until the fireworks are over.
Please be aware that there may be a “lull” in the crowd size between 3:00-6:00 pm and then it really
picks up!
You may also want to consider a light for your booth. Sorry, we cannot supply electricity.
We are supplying a 10’ X 10” area for your booth. You are responsible for your own set-up,
table, chairs, displays, canopies, tent, etc.
There will be food and drink available for sale on site. There will be porta-pots on site.
When the event is over, we would appreciate your feedback – good and not-so-good – so that we can
continue to improve this event each year. Call 508-867-6769 x 314 and leave a message.
If you have any questions the day of the event, please see a member of the Friends for the Community
who will be wearing a light blue t-shirt with the Friends lettering on it.
Thank you for your participation. We hope you have a wonderful day.
