Roth Rock State Forest. Educational factors have
shown that safety programs taught to kids in the past
have resulted in less injuries during those years .
Socially small game hunting in the past has been
high numbers. Economically small game has
benefited from the number of hunting licenses sold.
The amount of mast producing crops in past years
have affected the increase of small game.

Purpose of the Program
To show new hunters safety procedures when small
game hunting.
Outputs - Activities
Review safety procedures with the local WCO at
Stone Valley with demonstrations on how to handle a
gun. Have the kids participate after the demonstrations
to show the proper way to make sure they have
learned the concepts taught.
Decrease the amount of small game hunting injuries.
Send out a survey to locals in Centre county asking if
they went small game hunting
Seeing new hunter numbers go up.
Hunting license sales would go up 15% over the next
2 years in PA.

Will recruit through means of newspapers in the Daily Collegian & The Center Daily
Times, flyers in Dicks Sporting Goods, and Appalachian Outdoors, and social media
as well as on the PGC website.

Look up data and see how many licenses have been
sold as of today.
