Well the festive season is upon us and I'm sure that you are all very busy with
preparations, both with and without Guiding in mind.
Do please let us know of any trip / activities / events that you are holding or attending so
that we an share your news and pictures on our website and facebook page this month.

First aid refresher courses
We have 4 dates booked for for the first part of 2016 which are:

Wednesday 27th January 2016 - Ashton-under-Lyne

Wednesday 16th March 2016 - Ashton-under-Lyne

Thursday 12th May 2016 - Denton

Monday 20th June - TBC
Early bookings will receive a discounted booking fee. Courses can be booked online

Spring into Summer camp
Places are still available for the Spring into Summer camp 2016 on the weekend of 6th 8th May so click here for a booking form and more details.
Office Christmas holiday closure
Our County office will be closed from 4pm on 10th January though to Tuesday
12 January. However, e-mail and phone calls will be picked up remotely during that
time so if you have any queries, please ask.
Shop News
Our County shop, situated in Central Hall on Oldham Street, has everything you need
to run your unit from uniform and resources to gifts and leisure wear.
New in! We are now stocking the following North West Region branded goods in our
Shop:

Great fold away shopping bag which fits in a handbag, brilliant Stocking Filler at
just £3.

Region badges at £1 and Region car stickers at £1.50

Event ID wristbands to identify girls who have allergies, food allergies,
epilepsy and those who can't have their photos taken.
Also, don't miss out on the last few Girlguiding Manchester candles - only a few left at
£1 each.
If you cant make it into the Shop , then give them a call on 0161 236 4571 or e-mail
them on [email protected] and they can arrange to send the goods
to you, with a postage cost added.
Reminder!! The shop closes on Saturday 12 December and re-opens on Tuesday
12 January, although we will be taking orders from 5 January using the contact details
above.
As you know in 2016 we will be
celebrating 100 years of The Senior
Section and we would like to help all of
our Senior Section members aged 14-25
to attend at least one event next year. So
if you are aged 14-25 keep an eye out on
your doormat at home for a special ticket
which contains important information on
how to claim some financial support
towards attending an event. Whilst you
are waiting why not take a look at just
some of the things on offer here.
In other news .....
Rainbows
We are really pleased to tell you that we have opened two new Rainbow units in
Wythenshawe Division recently so welcome to everyone at 1st Bagueley and 1st
Northenden Rainbows.
Region News
Our Region Chief Commissioners Julie, Mel and Bekky are looking to visit every County in
the Region over the weekend of Thinking day 2016, joining in with celebration
events. So, if you have an event happening in your unit, District or Division on Friday
19th/Saturday 20th/Sunday 21st February, then please send details to
[email protected] and we will pass on the details and one event will get a
visit from the Region Chiefs.
