Great Lakes Loons Baseball Game (Fellowship Night) – Money for
the Great Lakes Loons tickets is due today to Gerald Hull. The
game is Thursday, June 30 at 7:05 p.m. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. to
church groups to watch batting practice, tour facilities and prizes.
Tickets are $9.50 per person. Please sign-up on the bulletin board and
give your ticket money to Gerald Hull today if you are interested in
going.
Ferris Phone Tree – If your phone number is not on the church’s
Prayer Need/Announcement automated message system (aka the
Phone Tree) and you would like to be added please contact the church
office or fill out the pull-out tab from your bulletin and drop it in the
offering plate. This is a great way to stay informed!
Vestaburg Community Days Meeting – Sunday, June 12 directly
following Morning Worship. We need volunteers and ideas! Please
come to the meeting to help us plan for the upcoming Vestaburg
Community Days July 16.
New Ferris T-Shirts – We are in the process of having new Ferris
Church of Christ t-shirts made. T-shirts will cost $11 each. Please sign
up on the bulletin board by June 19 if you would like to order one so
that we can order accordingly! Money for shirts will be due to Betsy
Cervantes by June 26. Church t-shirts are a great way to promote our
church as well as great for church events, youth outings, etc.
Church Softball – We are in need of softball equipment! If you have
any equipment of any kind or come across any at a garage sale we
would be very appreciative of any/all donations! If you are interested in
playing with us please contact the church office. Games are being held
each Saturday evening at varying locations from week to week and the
church office can fill you in where the next game will be held!
Vacation Bible School We are in need of helpers for VBS! Whether
you are crafty, Bible savvy or just plain fun we need YOU! Please let
the Ferris CoC office know if you’d be willing to help out in any way.
Summer Camp! Camp is right around the corner and we could gladly
use your donations to help send our kids to camp! Please drop your
donations in the offering plate earmarked “Camp Fund”. If you would
like to help sponsor a kid for a specific week of camp, please feel free
to grab one of the “kid cutouts” located on the camp board (in the
entryway) and drop it in the offering plate with your donation
earmarked “Sponsor a kid”.
SOS Needs Your Help! Sisters of Service need 6 x 6 material
squares for a project they are working on. If you have material odds
and ends and could help them out they would really appreciate it!
Material squares can be left in the Blessing Bags tote located in the
foyer area.
Family Night @ the Hull’s Cabin (hosted by Men of Faith) will be
Sunday, July 10 @ 5:30 p.m. Hot dogs will be provided. Please bring a
dish to pass! More details to come soon!
Specials – We are always looking for individuals to do specials during
our worship service. If you are not musically inclined, that’s ok!
Scripture reading and poetry readings are also appropriate. If you are
interested please see Karen Waldron to sign up!
EDGE Youth Meeting – There will be an EDGE Youth Leader meeting
sometime in July to discuss the upcoming school year. The date will be
determined in the near future.
Home Bible Studies – Are you interested in a free home Bible study?
Appropriate for all ages and up to small groups. We will meet “on your
terms”! Please see Josh Rude for more information on this ministry.
Jr/Sr High Mission Trip The trip will take place August 8-13, 2016.
The 6th-12th grade students will be going on a short term mission trip
this summer to the Team Expansion facilities located in Louisville, KY.
Each student will be responsible for raising $325 to go. More info
located on the bulletin board. Pick up a registration form from the
Coming Soon! We will have our own prayer room added to Ferris in
the near future. We are asking for donations of gently used furniture
(loveseats, sitting chairs, end tables, lamps, etc.) to add to our prayer
room. Please see Betsy Cervantes if you have any donations you
would like to add to the prayer room.
