11/30 Wednesday Note - Lamont Christian School

Lamont Christian School
November 30, 2016
This past Sunday many of our
churches started the wonderful
season of Advent. My son was
honored to be the candle lighter
in our church this week! He lit the
first purple candle which stands
for hope. During this season, I
pray that we all do have hope. A
hope in waiting for Christmas to
come and also a hope for Jesus to
come back again. That hope spills
over in to our community here at LCS. We have a
hope that God will continue to bless our work every
day as we strive to teach our students the wondrous
works God has done for them. We also have a hope
that our students will leave us after 8th grade and be
equipped to live out their faith every day and
everywhere the Lord leads them. Please continue to
pray that the spirit of hope will be working in all of
our staff and students daily in our school.

Announcements
Chapel this week will be led by Ms. Bonnie Heykoop.
We welcome guest speaker Janelle Lopez from
Harvest Bible Chapel.
Thank you ~ Thank you! The auction committee
would like to thank everyone that supported LCS in
this event. $56,000 was raised, including $28,000
raised towards a new bus. God is good, and we praise
Him for this blessing.
Coopersville Christmas Parade - Please make plans
to ride along on the LCS bus through the parade this
Friday night, 12/2. We will meet at Coopersville
Hardware around 6:30 and ride or walk along the
parade route handing out candy and LCS flyers.
Children PreK-2nd grade need a parent to ride along
with them. All students must be picked up in the
Community Services parking lot after the LCS bus is
done with the parade. Last year that was around 7:25
pm. Thanks and see you Friday night.
