Members without cart membership pay $20.00 for cart and event fee.
Format:
Players must play in 11 of the 14 weeks and must play in the final two
weeks to qualify during the season from May 28 to Aug 27. Players will
establish a quota. The original quota will be determined buy your WSGA
handicap or scores turned in during the months of April and May. The
person with the most quota points out of the 14 weeks will win a 500 club
membership for 2016!
In quota, the goal is to reach 36 total points. So the goal is to get from
your starting quota to 36 by adding points thusly: Each golfer starts with
points that match his handicap. If the handicap is 3, the golfer starts with
three points. If the handicap is 26, the golfer starts with 26 points. This
starting point total is the quota. Points are then added as follows:
Bogeys- 1 point
Eagles-4 points
Pars- 2 points
Birdies- 3 points
Dbl Eagles- 5 points
These scores are gross, not net: e.g., a gross bogey is worth 1 point. The
winner of a quota tournament is the golfer who exceeds the target score
(36 by the greatest amount. If nobody hits the target, the winner is the
golfer coming closest.
Rules and Regulations






Register in golf shop for weekly event format
All league members will tee off from the white tee markers each week
Tee times are to be made in advance between 10:00-11:00 am or 2-3pm for
every week. League is 18 holes and players may form their own foursomes.
Unpaired players will be assigned to incomplete groups.
The official rules of golf will be followed in our league. The most important rule to
remember is that you play the ball as it lies. For questionable rulings on the
course play two balls and refer to golf shop staff for the correct ruling.
Thursday scores will be posted to the handicap system by Big Fish staff. All
other scores are the player’s responsibility. Registered members of the WSGA
may post their scores online at WSGA.org. Non-members who are not
associated with the WSGA must sign up with Big Fish for the WSGA fee of $25.
A WSGA handicap will be required to participate in net events.
NEW-There will be one make-up day allowed. The only date you can make
up rounds is on Wednesday August 5th. No Exceptions!! You can play up to
36 holes this day and turn cards into shop for scoring for weeks missed.
You still must be present for final two weeks to be awarded the 2016
membership!
