It must be seen and approved by the Research Ethics and Governance Officer before potential participants are approached to take part in any research. No health or social care research must be carried out unless an appropriate research sponsor has been identified and has confirmed their agreement to support the project. The University can consider sponsorship of student research projects on a case-by-case basis.
