and financial centre.
ECONOMY
 The
Czech Republic is famous for very
good quality of Czech products.
 For example:
 cars,
 glasses,
 beer…
 The Czech Republic is a member
of the European Union
since May 2004.
SPORT
 The
most popular sports in the Czech
Republic are football (soccer) and ice
hockey. The Czech men's national ice
hockey team has a lot of medals…
 Ice Hockey World Championship will
be hosted in the Czech Republic in
2015.
TRADITION
 Important
cultural events and
traditions represent the Czech
Republic in the UNESCO list of
intangible cultural heritage.

from person (Jan Podlesov), and
when people killed him, they said: ,,
Don´t live in Podlesov more“ =>
Podlesov (some age changed it to
Polešovice)

The name of our village is created
from a small village under the forest
=> Podlesov (in English Underforest,
some age changed it to Polešovice)
