A message from your PTA president
On behalf of the PTA Board, I would like to welcome you to
Union Cross!
I cordially invite you to visit the Union Cross webpage and be
sure to see the PTA section. Your PTA is focused on providing
Union Cross students and their families exciting events
throughout the 2013-2014 school year.
The Union Cross PTA thrives because parents like you are
members and volunteers. Becoming a member of the PTA is
easy and affordable, and it’s a great way to show your support
for the efforts of the Union Cross PTA. As a member,
volunteering with the PTA is a fun and rewarding way to be
directly involved in your child’s education at Union Cross.
Membership dues for the 2013-2014 school year are $5.50 per
person or $9.50 per couple. Your membership helps in many
ways and your volunteerism makes the difference.
Please support the Union Cross PTA in the manner that suits you
best. I hope that you and your family have a great school year.

PTA Fall Fundraiser
Look for information in your child’s
September 3 Tuesday folder for details
on the GoPlaySave book fundraiser.
GoPlaySave is formerly Citipass.
GoPlaySave books contain great offers
and coupons for many of your favorite
local merchants. Sales begin 9/3 and
run through 9/24.
The PTA fall fundraiser is a key part of how your PTA supports Union
Cross, and we need your support. Money raised through PTA
Fundraisers have enabled us to host events such as Bingo with Mom,
staff appreciation lunches, movie nights, Goodies for Grandparents, Date
Night with Dad, New Parents’ Breakfasts, as well as ice cream and
popcorn parties for students. These funds have allowed us to purchase
equipment for classrooms and finance school beautification projects.
