SAME, SAME BUT DIFFERENT YUM CHA PARTY
Between January and April, Rice Paper Scissors will be running a monthly SAME, SAME BUT DIFFERENT
YUM CHA CELEBRATION at their venue in Fitzroy. It’s their way of celebrating all that’s awesome about their
foodie roots and enjoying time with their supporters and dear guests.
Each event will be a different regional theme, and will feature a completely different food and cocktail menu
highlighting their favourite flavours from South East Asia.
The names of the themes are the Vietnam Variety, Singapore Style, Laos Luxury and a Bali Baptism. They
represent a different passion for head chef, Shane Stafford, and an opportunity for him to take customers
on a culinary journey through a region he loves so much.

BACKGROUND
Established in 2013, Rice Paper Scissors, is the love child of Rahmie Clowes and Shane Stafford, two
brilliant chefs from Sydney, with a passion for South East Asian cuisine.
The two bring their personality into every aspect of the dining experience, with a shared eating concept,
modeled on hawker style dining bars. Patrons are encouraged to use their hands as they chow down on
delicious food and cocktails influenced by South East Asian cuisine, with a Rice Paper twist.
Rice Paper Scissors has grown in popularity consistently since it first opened it’s doors on Liverpool St in the
Melbourne CBD, just over three years ago, and has since expanded to Brunswick St, Fitzroy. Today they are
well established within the Melbourne food culture scene, and have won several accolades including, Best
Dish (Sticky Pork Belly) at the Annual Street Feud Event by Circa, and included in the top 10 for the Good
Food Guide People’s Choice Awards 2015.
There is never a dull moment at Rice Paper Scissors, and 2017 is shaping up to be no exception.

Booking is essential and each event will have two sittings at 12pm and 2pm. The max capacity is 150 PAX.
