How to Import patient images into MiPacs 1. After taking the patient pictures, remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into the Kingston card reader. 2. Now log into Axium and access the patient file you are working on. Ensure you have the correct patient opened in Axium. located in the lower left hand side of Axium. This will bring 3. Now select the MiPacs icon up the patient in MiPacs. 4. Once MiPacs has opened, select the template “Photo (6)” and then select the “Show Template” icon. . You will be creating a new template. 5. You should see the following template. You need to select the first image window so that it is highlighted in red. This is where the first photo will be imported to. 6. Now select “Image” and then “Import Image” on the menu bar 7. Once you select ``Import Images`` the following window will pop up. In this window, select the ``Browse`` button to locate the images you want to import. 8. Once you select the ``Browse`` button you will need to browse to the removable drive that the cameras memory card resides at. It should look like the following; 9. 10. 11. 12. Now select the “DCIM” folder and then the “100NIKON” folder. This will open the folder that contains your pictures to import into MiPacs. Once you have selected the correct folder, you should change the “View” option to “Thumbnails”. This will allow you to see the pictures. a. Now select the first picture and then select the “Open” button. b. Another window will open that will show the image you will be importing. Now select “OK”. Once you have imported the first image into the template, you will notice that the second image window in highlighted in red. Now simply repeat steps 5 through 8 until all 6 images have been imported into the template. Now all images will be stored as unapproved images. To change the approval so that the images are permanently stored on the server, following the next steps. 13. Now select the first image and on the left side of the desktop you will need to change under “Properties” the “Conversion Type” to “Digitized film”. Make sure all 6 images are changed to “Digitized Film” 14. Now Select the series in under “Series View” and right click it. Now select “Approve Image”. This will approve the series. 15. Now before closing out of the patient’s record, you need to right click the series and select “Save as” and then select “OK
