10th annual DESERT WOMAN’S SHOW
December 12, 2017 - Rancho Mirage, CA - Grab your tote and join us for the 10th annual
Desert Woman’s Show Saturday, January 14 and Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 10am – 4pm
daily at the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage. With over 50 displays, daily
fashion presentations, educational seminars on today’s hottest topics, featured guests and food &
wine tasting, this Show has something for everyone!
Make a day of it and enjoy shopping in the fashion boutique, makeup & hair makeovers, visit
displays on wellness, home products, massage, fitness and much more. Experience A Taste of
the Valley daily from 11:00 am to 3:00pm featuring local restaurants including delicious
sampling from Balisage Bistro, The Parker Palm Springs, Backstreet Bistro, Fisherman’s
Market, Shanghai Reds, Woody’s, TRIO, paired with Quintessential Wines, Crater Lake Vodka
and Coachella Valley Brewing Company. Tasting wristbands are available for $15 per person
per day and guests must be 21 years of age for this area where wine and spirits are served.
Saturday, January 14th the event begins at 10:00 am with an educational and empowering
symposium addressing The Heartbreak of Addiction featuring a panel discussion with
individuals who have claimed their sobriety and will share their stories of hope and
inspiration. The symposium is sponsored by Addiction Therapeutic Services and will host a
variety of local recovery centers providing information and resources.
Join the conversation on the Palm Stage with host Bronwyn Ison and her cast of medical experts
from Desert Regional Medical Center as they discuss the Top Ten Tests That Can Save A
Woman's Life!
Be sure to catch the daily fashion presentations under the Desert Sun Fashion Tent, featuring
MACY'S MOM & ME at 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 14th with a Spring selection from
Eileen Fisher and Vince Camuto. These mom and daughter duos range from 35 years old to 75
years old!
At 3:00 pm Saturday, Venus de Fido will present an assortment of distinguished apparel by
Jordan Sack and unique accessories. Local models will grace the runway along with their
favorite furry friend. If you are in the mood for a new pet, be sure to catch the Pet Adoption at
3:30 pm with Loving All Animals under the Desert Sun Fashion Tent following the fashion
show.
Be sure to return to the Show on Sunday as the speakers and fashions change. Join Dr. Nicole
Ortiz and learn about stem cell and growth factor therapy and the Latest Secrets to
Longevity. Additional lectures continue throughout the day with Dr. Sanford Greenberg, the
longest running vein specialist in the Desert. Cynthia Cruz, from Clark's Nutrition is offering a
workshop on Making Your Own Perfume from essential oils while models prepare to hit the
runway wearing the latest in Joseph Ribkoff and Kay Celine from Gaby L's Boutique at 1:30 pm
Sunday, January 15th.
If you have always wanted to try your hand at pottery join Old Town Artisan Studios and watch
the instructors on the wheel. Committed to providing positive art experiences for all people
despite age, disability or financial disadvantage, this 501©(3) nonprofit organization provides an
inviting place where individuals can reveal their creativity through clay.
Additional presentations throughout the weekend include Cooking Raw & Fresh with Chef
Herve of The Parker Palm Springs and Leaving a Legacy with financial advisor Robert Schein of
Hightower, Palm Desert, California. Plan to end your weekend with CHARITY BINGO under
the Fashion Tent at 3:00 - 4:30pm on Sunday, in support of Parkinson's Organization.
