SPRING EXAM PROCEDURES: 2017










Students MUST remain in the room until the end of the two-hour examination period.
Students who are absent from an exam will not be allowed to make up the exam until the teacher receives
verification of the absence from the attendance secretary. If absent during the exam period, it is the
student’s responsibility for notifying the teacher of their intention to take an exam during make-up session.
The make-up exam sessions will be used for this purpose and not as a substitute for the originally
scheduled exam period.
Students over 10 minutes late to an exam must report to the main office prior to attending the session.
Students who are not scheduled for an exam on a particular day, do not have to report to school.
Students who are in the building on exam days, but do not have an exam both periods, must report to the
cafeteria or the library media center for the entire period and be prepared for quiet study.
Students who only have the first exam (7:25-9:25) may leave at 9:25 provided they are excused by a parent
and receive a dismissal slip from the main office. These slips are collected from students when they exit the
building. Students who only have the second exam (9:45-11:45) may arrive late to school, if they can
arrange their own transportation.
Parents must pick up students dismissed early in the front parking lot. Students who leave early may not
return to school grounds or take the bus home.
If there is a late opening for any reason, the exam schedule will be as follows:
Exam 1 8:55-10:55
Break 10:55-11:15
Exam 2 11:15-1:15
If school is canceled, exams will move forward one day (i.e. Thursday exams move to Friday).
The cafeteria will be open for snacks and beverages from 7:10am through 10:30am. No lunch will be
served on exam days.
