Large sheet of paper

Marker

Scissors

String

Tape


Instructions:
1. Trace your child on a large sheet of paper.
2. Start placing the parts of the nervous system by taping the brain in place. Next, add a piece of long string to
represent the spinal cord. From the spinal cord, attach other strings to represent the nerves.
3. Add the remaining body organs and parts where they should go.
4. Next, have your child pick a card from the “Messages.” Discuss where the message would start and how the
nervous system carries that need to the brain and then to the part of the body needed to complete the task.
