Primary Responsibilities in Detail
The Crew Member is a representative of Quest Events and a member of the Operations team while on sets and
strikes. As such, the Crew Member will need to practice flexibility, reliability, and perseverance in their daily
duties. The Crew Member strives for customer satisfaction at all times.
Preparation for daily scheduled activities both in the warehouse and on-site
Each shift requires preparations in the warehouse and/or ensuring the vehicles are loaded accurately and
completely; this includes the equipment that is listed on the pull sheet as well as any additional items that are
needed in order to complete the set/strike. Ladders, tool boxes, dollies and other items will help each Crew finish
their projects safely and effectively.
Working with a Crew Leader and a Team of Crew Members
While on sets and strikes, the Crew Leader will lead one or more teams of Crew Members in the completion of
each particular job. As such, the Crew Member must demonstrate good work ethic and dependability. Each Crew
Member will lead by example through hard work, patience, and dedication to complete the given task and they
must fulfill the required duties without sacrificing the characteristics of solid customer service. Crew Members
must remain motivated every day to do the best job possible on each and every event. They must also promote
safety, efficiency, growth, and responsibility in their fellow Crew Members.
Loading and Unloading Company Vehicles at the Warehouse and on Jobsites
The Crew Leader oversees and is responsible for ensuring all equipment needed for a particular job is loaded into
company vehicles in a safe and secure manner. While on the jobsite, make certain that the equipment is offloaded
and transported safely and with care in order to ensure the safety of employees, company property, and the
venue’s property. Upon returning to the warehouse, the team will ensure that the vehicle is completely unloaded
of all assets and that the cab of the vehicle is free of any and all trash or unnecessary paperwork. It is the Crew
Member’s responsibility to assist the Crew Leader in each of these steps.
Participating in Sets and Strikes at Event Venues
The Crew Member’s shared responsibility is the safe execution of sets and strikes while maintaining the highest
standards of excellence in the delivery of the company’s products and services. Therefore, the Crew Member must
be courteous, safe, efficient and detail-oriented in his/her approach to completing tasks on jobsites. Every event
presents new and different challenges that the crew must be able to successfully solve. As such, the Crew Member
must be creative and determined in their approach to completing the task at hand while respecting the decisions
of the Crew Leader. Frequently, crews must be able to complete sets and strikes within fixed time periods.
Completing warehouse tasks after on-site work is finished
Quality control, maintenance, cleaning, and general warehouse duties are a shared responsibility. These tasks
must be done regularly before leaving any shift. All shifts will vary so each employee must check with their
manager to be sure their shift is complete before leaving the warehouse.
Delivering Outstanding Customer Service
The customer’s needs and desires come first during sets and strikes; therefore, the Crew Leader and Crew
Members must be willing to adjust or modify frequently changing designs or layouts. As a customer service
oriented company, our success depends on the satisfaction of our customers. Therefore, Crew Members, to the
best of their abilities, must ensure that all customers are completely satisfied with their experience. Ultimately,
the Crew Leader will be responsible for solving all customer issues on the jobsite. Crew Members must assist and
respect decisions made by the Crew Leader. Occasions may arise that will require them to go above and beyond
“normal” levels of expectation.
