7. What can I buy with my MCA One Card?

1. What is MCA One Card?
MCA One Card gives you a prepaid spending account—a safe and
convenient method of payment for food and print services on the
MCA campus.
2. Do I get an actual card?
No. Your Student ID Badge becomes your MCA One Card when you
take it to Campus Safety for activation and login to the MCA One
Card portal.

3. How do I get my Student ID Badge activated for MCA One Card?
FOUR EASY STEPS
1. Take your Student ID Badge to Campus Safety for MCA One
Card activation.
2. Login to MCA One Card portal at onecard.mca.edu with your
MCA Google email address and choose “Forget Password?”
You will be emailed a password.
3. Use your personal credit card to apply the funds you want on
your MCA One Card. (This link can be added to your
web favorites).
4. For first-time use with Print/Scan/Copy devices, sync your MCA
One Card by inputting your email address and email password,
and scanning/swiping your MCA One Card. No need to re-enter
each time, just scan/swipe your MCA One Card.
4. How does it work?
When you use MCA One Card the amount of your purchase is
automatically deducted from your MCA One Card account. MCA
One Card balance is accessible using the portal. This allows you to
know your balance and when it is time to make another MCA One
Card deposit.
5. How do I get to the MCA One Card portal?
onecard.mca.edu
If that doesn’t work, go to mca.edu and click on “Current Students” to
the right of the MCA logo. Under QUICK LINKS click on MCA One Card.
MCA One Card portal can also be found on the MCA IT Helpdesk
website, in your orientation package or by emailing the MCA IT
Helpdesk ([email protected]).
6. Once I get to the portal, then what?
Login to MCA One Card portal at onecard.mca.edu with your MCA
Google email address and choose “Forget Password?” You will be
emailed a password.
The portal will send you an email to verify that you have successfully
logged into the portal. Once you have access to portal, the instructions provided are easy for making your initial deposit (to one or both
of the approved Plans) and/or adding your parent’s information.
8. Are MCA Meal and Print Services Plans different
from MCA One Card?
No. Once you sign up (see #2 and #3), your Student ID Badge
becomes your MCA One Card and the Meal and/or Print Services
Plans are immediately accessible. As long as there is money in your
account and you are signed up for Meal and/or Print Services Plans,
you can begin using MCA One Card right away.
9. Are there any limits or constraints for each of these
two services?
For now, only MCA students may use the MCA One Card for
Meal and Print Services Plan expenditures on the MCA campus, at
designated Copy/Print/Scan machines and snack bar cash registers.
10. Help! Where do I go if I have problems using my
MCA One Card?
Contact the MCA IT Helpdesk by emailing [email protected].
11. How do I make deposits to or replenish my MCA One
Card account?
Go to onecard.mca.edu, login and follow instructions to add money
to your MCA One Card for your Meal and Print Services Plans.
12. How do I check my MCA One Card balance, or will I receive
a monthly account statement?
You will not receive any current balance information. However, you
will receive a Low Account Balance email should the Meal and
Print Services Plans balances fall below $5. You can check your
balances at any time by logging into MCA One Card portal, as well
as your account activity within the Meal and Print Services Plans.
13. How do I activate/deactivate my account?
Follow the instructions on the MCA One Card portal after you
have logged in.
14. Can I add my parents, guardian or friends to my MCA
One Card account, and what access can they be given?
Yes, just follow the MCA One Card Instructions. Your contacts can
either view or add funds to your account 24/7. They cannot charge
anything to your account.
15. Can I roll my MCA One Card account balance over
from one semester to the next semester?
Yes. At the end of fall semester your MCA One Card funds roll to
spring semester. However, your MCA One Card funds will not roll
from spring to fall. You must use up your funds by the end of the
spring semester. Your MCA One Card account resets to zero before
the start of fall semester.
16. If I do not have a valid credit card, are there any other means
of funding or replenishing my MCA One Card accounts?
Yes. Cash, checks and money orders are accepted. Visit the MCA
Business Office in Gibson Hall for assistance.

17. What if I lose or misplace my MCA One Card?
Don’t worry. Just stop by or call MCA Campus Safety (901-271-5130)
and report your lost Student ID Badge. After business hours, call
901-507-3030. Your card will be deactivated, making it useless to
anyone that may happen to find it. You may obtain a replacement
card from Campus Safety in Rust Hall. A small fee may apply for all
card replacements. You can also log into the MCA One Card portal
and deactivate your account.

18. Can I use my MCA One Card to pay for my tuition and fees?
Not at this time.
19. Can I use my MCA One Card at the Art Store?
Unfortunately not.
20. How much money do I need to deposit in the Meal and Print
Services Plans to activate my MCA One Card account?
Students are requested to deposit a minimum of $200 to activate
their Meal Plan account, and a minimum of $10 to activate their
Print Services Plan account. Also, students are requested to
replenish their Meal Plan account in $10 increments and their Print
Services account in $5 increments. Students will be sent a Low
Account Balance email should either their Meal or Print Services
Plans account balances fall below $5.

21. Where will my MCA One Card be accepted on the
MCA campus?
The MCA One Card is accepted at the five (5) Copy/Print/Scan
machines in Rust and Gibson Halls, and at checkout in the Snack
Bar in Rust Hall.
22. I am a transfer student. Can I transfer my Meal Plan or Print
Services account balances over to MCA?
No. Funds held in an account outside of MCA cannot be systematically transferred into the MCA One Card accounts.
23. I am a Consortium student. Can I use this program/service?
Yes. Follow these four easy steps to activate your MCA-issued
Student ID Badge.

Make everything easier with the MCA One
Card. To get yours, simply take your Student ID
Badge to Campus Safety and have it activated
as an MCA One Card. Deadline for activation is January 31, 2017.
Once you have activated your One Card, use it
to gain entry into all campus buildings. Add
funds to your card to purchase your meals and
snacks, and pay for prints, copies and scans. Use a credit card to add funds through the MCA
One Card portal – onecard.mca.edu. Or take
your cash to the MCA Business Office and have
them load it onto your card. There are no service charges, you can check
your balance at any time and you can even
