New Features Jira Software 7.3.x: Product Changes: 1. Jira Software: Video JIRA Software is designed specifically for software teams, delivering best-in-class agile tooling, with default best practices, deep developer tool integrations, and a focused project experience for your entire team. By merging JIRA's powerful workflow engine with the most important elements of agile development, like flexible scrum and kanban boards, and real-time reporting, JIRA Software sets a new standard for great software development. 1.1 Scrum boards Agile teams can stay focused on delivering iterative and incremental value, as fast as possible, with customizable scrum boards. 1.2 Kanban boards Flexible kanban boards give your team full visibility into what’s next so you can continuously deliver maximum output in minimal cycle time. 1.3 Agile reporting Teams have access to more than a dozen out-of-the-box reports with real-time, actionable insights into how their teams are performing sprint over sprint. 1.4 Delegate sprint management New sprint permissions in JIRA Software give team leads, scrum masters, and end users more control. By adding new levels of permissions, those working in sprints can be more agile and work the way they want. 1.5 Add context to flagged issues The new flag and comment feature brings flagging and commenting into a single action, so team members always have context around why an issue is flagged. 1.6 Organize large bodies of work To keep you organized, completed and closed epics, or epics from other projects, no longer appear in the epic link field when you use the epic link dropdown. 1.7 Prioritize like a pro JIRA Software has everything your team needs to organize work and plan a great sprint from configurable agile boards with easy drag-and-drop prioritization to story point estimation. 1.8 Take visibility to new heights Whether your team uses scrum, kanban, or a mixed methodology, JIRA Software supports the agile framework that matches the way your team works. It also connects to your favorite developer tools so that you can engage in code reviews, see build status, and follow software deployment status, all from your team's board. 1.9 Release with confidence To bring some sanity back into your release process, JIRA Software includes Release Hub: a single dashboard that provides teams with real-time visibility into the status and progress of an upcoming release. Release Hub mitigates risks, replaces status meetings, and provides a more confident and stress-free release process. 1.10 Make JIRA Software your own Use JIRA Software's new sidebar to create shortcuts to everything from your team's Spotify playlist to helpful Stack overflow articles to requirement specs in Confluence. Having these important links in the sidebar keeps everything related to your software team's project exactly where it should be: just one click away. 1.11 Project level administration We've extended the project administrators permission, so that project administrators can now edit their projects workflow under certain conditions: The workflow must not be shared with any other projects The workflow cannot be the JIRA default system workflow, which cannot be edited at all The project admins will not be able to edit the workflow to the same extent as a JIRA administrator. The restrictions are: To add a status, the status must already exist in the JIRA instance i.e. the project admin can't create new statuses or edit existing statuses The project admin isn't allowed to delete a status from the workflow The project admin can create, update or delete transitions, but they can't select or update a screen used by the transition, or edit a transition's properties, conditions, validators or postfunctions This feature is enabled by default. When you upgrade to JIRA Software 7.3, all your project administrators will have access to this feature immediately. To edit a workflow, a project administrator should select Project settings in their project's sidebar, and select an issue type. This will present the workflow, and Edit Workflow will be available. 2.
