Basic Functions of PortDB
1)It builds an inventory of port throughputs and
infrastructure
(from a terminal perspective and relatively to a selected range of years
f. Y2000 to Y2010)
2) It enables a Ionas Mailing list
3) It enables a list of those ‘interested’ in Interreg
for future program and projects
Basic Profiles of PortDB
Generic User (after registration, entitled to
exercise a visualization of data)
Port Administrator (after registration, entitled
to data entry, data retrieving/modification
and data visualization)

… The filled-out form generates an e-mail that asks the
PortDB manager to verify and activate the user. Then
the system asks you to proceed, after selection of year
and type of terminal, with insertion of general data about
the port
