Learning Innovation Grant – To promote and encourage innovation in the use of ICT and E-Learning within the delivery of Work Based Learning. Funded by the Learning & Skills Council. 282 Projects supported in LIG 1 – 4. £9.87 million allocated in LIG 1 – 4. 60 Projects currently being funded in LIG 5. £2.7 million allocated in LIG 5. Nearly all LIG Providers (98%) have undertaken additional capital or revenue investment in technology/e-learning since receiving LIG funding. 87% of LIG Providers responded that LIG funding & further investment had improved the quality of learning within their organisation. 85% of LIG Providers responded that LIG funding & further investment had improved the choice of learning methods within their organisation. 71% of LIG Providers had identified a increase in achievement rates following LIG funding & further investment. The average increase from the LIG providers responding was 7%. (Research commissioned by ALP/LSC. Provider Quote – LIG 4 funding has been such a wonderful opportunity for this innovative development project which would have stayed on paper without the funds to implement it. Provider Quote – Involvement in LIG 4 has been extremely beneficial; it has provided us with technologies that are giving our learners an improved learning experience that we would not have been able to give without the support of this project.
