Key Dates for your Diary
Thursday May 11th
Volunteers’ meeting, St Justus Church, 7:00 – 9:00pm
Purpose: information giving regarding activities, programme, roles at
Holiday Club; prayer for Holiday Club; Safeguarding ground rules
Thursday July 27th
Volunteers’ Meeting, St Justus Church, 7:00 – 9:30 pm
This meeting will involve practical preparation for Holiday Club – please
bring an iron and / or a pair of scissors!
Holiday Club Week
Please arrive between 9am and 9:30 am ready for a volunteers’ briefing
at 9:30 am (volunteers’ children will be supervised during the meeting).
On Monday 1st August, the briefing will start at 9:15 am.
After the main session, there will be refreshments for volunteers,
followed by a short debriefing session. You will be free to go by
12:30pm.
If circumstances mean that you need to arrive after 9:30 am or leave
before 12:30pm, that is fine – we are grateful for your help during the
morning!
Picnic and games in the park 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Celebration, 5:30 – 7:15 pm
Volunteers’ social, following Celebration
If it is easier for you to stay between the morning and afternoon events,
please feel free to bring a packed lunch and we will eat together before
setting up

 Please also ensure that they sign this form relating to how you should be contacted with
information about Holiday Club
If you are over 18, have you had a DBS check at St Justus Church in the last 5 years?
YES / NO
If you have not had a recent DBS check from St Justus, you will need to complete one, even if you
have been checked for another organisation. Please speak to Helen Burn or Karen Byrne about the
documentation you will need and bring it to one of the planning meetings, so that we can complete
the online check.
