Please read this before filling in the application form Applying for admission If you apply for a scholarship for an advertised project, please fill in no.1-12 in the application form. Credit transfer A full time PhD study at the Faculty of Science lasts 3 years for the 5+3 scheme. It is possible to apply for a credit transfer of study elements. Elements obtained after the Master’s degree can reduce the length of the PhD study and reduce the scholarship proportionally. International degrees If you hold an international bachelor and/or master’s degree, please include information from your university regarding the grading scale used and the grade point average Instructions regarding weighted grade average for Master’s study Regarding appendix G: If your University calculates an official grade average, enter this. If not, calculate a weighted grade average for your graded courses. Omit from these calculations any of your completed courses which did not result in a grade. 1) Multiply the grade for courses with the ECTS-points for courses, using grade A= 12; B= 10; C= 7; D= 4; E= 2. Do this for all graded courses, and add the numbers. 2) Sum the ECTS-points of the same courses 3) Divide the sum derived under 1) with the sum derived under, 2). Enter this average in the form.
