Physical Development
•Use a range of tools and equipment with increasing
control, including jugs to pour, dough tools and
mark making tools, appropriate scissors and
threading activities.

Things you can do to help your child at home
•Naming colours, counting and recognising number 1 and beyond
•Teach them to put their coat on and off
•Reinforce the letter sounds we are doing in Nursery s, a, t, p, i, n
•Help them to hold a pencil correctly to scribble and mark make
•Read stories to your child and sing rhymes with them
•We are aware that the older children may be able to do many of these
targets already.
•All children will be moved along the learning curve at their own rate and level
through play and activities linked to their interests.
