Every year approx. 10,000* young people leave care and start the next season of their
journey. For many that can be a daunting and unsettling experience.

Run by the YMCA the Support Lodgings scheme offers support to young people aged 16 20 helping this transition by placing them within a host household. Hosts can be family's
or single people and we welcome expressions of interest from all.
As a host, you would provide a spare bedroom and non-intrusive support so that a young
person can develop their independent living skills in a safe and secure environment.
Placements can last a few months to up to 2 years. Weekly remuneration given.
